Trail around Lake Jezero (longer route)

The hiking trail circuiting Lake Jezero offers an unforgettable experience of scenic beauty and peaceful surroundings. Leave the campsite in Njivice on the asphalt road, cross the main island road and continue along a wide gravel road that passes by the Equestrian Club and Centre for Activities and Therapeutic Riding. The unique flora and fauna characterise the wider area around Lake Jezero, giving you the chance to explore this special ecosystem of the island. Especially rich in wetland and migratory birds, the area represents a valuable bird reserve. In addition to wetland plants, several species of orchids can also be found in the immediate vicinity of the lake. In the forest idyll of Turkey oak and downy oak, you can enjoy the birdsong and the scent of flowers, and use the walk by the lake to observe and take photos of birds.
